DEADLINE: September 4, 2022

The National Update on Behavioral Emergencies (NUBE) conference is accepting scientific abstracts for the 13th Annual AAEP NUBE Conference, taking place December 8-9 in Scottsdale, Arizona at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Paradise Valley-Scottsdale. Please note that this submission is for original research only (i.e., lecture proposals should be submitted separately on the conference website here). Duplicate entries will not be considered.

Abstract Guidelines

The primary conference audience consists of psychiatrists, emergency medicine physicians, nurses, Presentations must avoid any semblance of commercialism: those constituting promotion and advertising are prohibited.

To submit original research, please write a 500-word (or less) abstract. The abstract should involve original qualitative or quantitative research, should be relevant to behavioral emergencies, and should not have been published elsewhere at time of presentation.

Research abstracts should be structured in a standard fashion (i.e., Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions). Ongoing research without preliminary results is accepted only if there is a compelling reason to inform the scientific community of study design or methodology.

Please note that abstracts should not contain identifying author information; this information is entered separately on the website. This is necessary to ensure blind review.

Submit

All submissions should be uploaded by September 4, 2022, at 5pm EST. Late submissions will not be accepted. There will be no deadline extensions.

The application process is a BLIND review (i.e., the reviewers are unaware of the applicant’s identity). Therefore, applicants should be careful not to disclose their identity when writing their 500-word abstract.
