2021 Call for Speakers & Panelists

Submissions are now closed.

American Association for Emergency Psychiatry invites you to join us for our 12th Annual NUBE Conference on December 9-10, 2021 at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel.

We are seeking dynamic, engaging, and knowledgeable presenters for the annual National Update on Behavioral Emergencies Conference.

The primary conference audience consists of psychiatrists, emergency medicine physicians, nurses, social workers, and residents. Lecture and workshop content and instruction should be geared to a level that is appropriate for the target audience.

Proposals are solicited for topics in behavioral emergencies that are interactive, creative, dynamic, and feature best practices in psychiatric emergency medicine. Rapid fire presentations are particularly popular. Please indicate if you are interested in being considered for a rapid fire presentation.

The presentation timeframe should include introductions, presentation material, and a question & answer session. Attendees should leave with specific knowledge and skills about various aspects of the topic and how it relates to their future development. Presentations should provide attendees with educational value and refrain from promoting a specific business, product, or service.

A completed presentation is required before the conference opening day. Please keep the abstract length to < 500 words.

The submission period will close August 27, 2021. Identical or duplicate submissions to the scientific session will not be accepted. Presenters are required to upload a photograph and a bio at the time abstracts are submitted. Bios are limited to a maximum of 500 words. The goal of the presenter bio is to provide us with a high-level view of your career and your major accomplishments.

Important: Presenter bios are required for CME approval.

As a presenter for the National Update for Behavioral Emergencies, you will receive a discounted registration.
